How To Make Air Fryer Chicken Thighs Marinade
The secret to delicious Air Fryer Chicken Thighs is a good marinade. This one is my favorite because it’s easy to make, and it is made without onion and without garlic.
To make Air Fryer chicken thighs marinade, you need to start by adding dry tarragon, dry lovage, dry thyme, ground rosemary, salt, and olive oil to the bowl. Mix it to combine, and then rub the chicken thighs in marinade. Let the chicken marinate while the air fryer preheats, or refrigerate it overnight for even more flavor.
How To Cook Chicken Thighs In The Air Fryer?
Air fryer is a wonder, and it makes cooking easier, and healthier. Making perfectly crispy chicken thighs is easy with an air fryer, and here’s how.
Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel. In this step, you will remove excess moisture from the chicken. If you don’t pat the chicken thighs dry before cooking it will result in soggy chicken thighs, and they will not be crispy at all!
Rub the marinade on the chicken thighs. This step adds flavor to the chicken thighs. Also, oil marinade will help you get deliciously crispy chicken thighs. For the best results, make sure to coat chicken thighs evenly with marinade.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/200°C. I find the best way to preheat the air fryer is to run it empty at 400°F/200°C for 5 minutes. This warms up the air fryer, so the chicken cooks faster and more evenly without drying out.
Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Placing chicken thighs skin-side down to the air fryer is a crucial step for the best crispy air fryer chicken thighs. This way the skin will be crispy, and the meat juicy. Cook it for 12 minutes, and then flip the chicken thighs and cook them for 8 to 12 more minutes. Once baked, let the chicken thighs rest on a plate for a few minutes before serving.

Instructions
- Make marinade. Mix olive oil, dry tarragon, dry lovage, dry thyme, ground rosemary, and salt.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
- Rub the marinade onto the chicken thighs, making sure to coat them evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/200°C. Run the empty air fryer at 400°F/200°C for 5 minutes.
- Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Cook for 12 minutes.
- Flip the chicken thighs and cook for an additional 8 to 12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Once done, let the chicken rest on a plate for a few minutes before serving.
