Ingredients of Allium-free Marry Me Chicken

Chicken breast cutlets or chicken breast filets – the star of this meal. In case you can’t find chicken breast cutlets, cut the boneless and skinless chicken breast lengthwise to get thin cutlets.
Roma tomato – for amazing tomato flavor
Heavy cream – for making the sauce creamy and delicious
All-purpose flour – for dredging the chicken. It will keep chicken juicy, and add a bit of thickness to the sauce.
Parmesan – for the cheesy flavor. It gives a delicious taste to the meal.
Tomato paste – for even more delicious tomato flavor. Only a little is enough to make this meal even tastier.
Dry thyme – for delicious flavor
Dry basil – for yummy flavor
Ground sage – for heavenly flavor
Dry oregano – for divine flavor
Salt – for enriching the flavor
Freshly cracked black pepper – for giving spiciness to the meal (if you don’t like spicy, or you can’t eat pepper you can omit it – it will not affect the meal)
Cooking oil or butter – for cooking the chicken

How to make an Allium-free Marry Me Chicken recipe?

Season with salt and pepper and dredge chicken cutlets into flour.

Cook the chicken cutlets in a saute pan over medium-low heat while flipping it halfway. Remove the cooked chicken from the pan. Set it aside on the plate.

In the same saute pan, start making the sauce by adding heavy cream, cut Roma tomatoes, dry thyme, dry oregano, dry basil, ground sage, salt, and pepper. Simmer it with occasional stirring for a few minutes. And then add tomato paste, stir it to combine, and continue simmering the sauce.

Grate parmesan into the sauce, and stir it to combine.

Add cooked chicken to the sauce, and simmer it for a minute or two for the chicken to combine with the sauce. You can gently mix the sauce (this is optional), but be careful not to break the chicken.

How to store it?

Refrigerator

You can store it in an air-tight container for up to 3 days. If the sauce becomes too thick, just add a spoon of pasta water to thin it out while reheating the leftovers.

Freezer

I do not recommend freezing this meal because it will change the texture of the sauce. It will not be tasty. Allium-free Marry Me Chicken is not a freezer-friendly meal.

What to serve with Allium-free Marry Me Chicken?

Allium-free Marry Me Chicken tastes amazingly with rice or pasta. While you are making the sauce, cook rice or pasta as a side dish.

Garnish for this meal
Garnish can elevate how the food looks, and it can make it look more appetizing. However, garnish can be a spot where alliums are hiding. In this recipe, I garnished my plate with freshly chopped parsley and grated parmesan.
