How to make it in detail
Tahini is very easy to make. It contains sesame seeds, olive oil, and salt.
It is important to have toasted sesame seeds. You can toast them by yourself, or buy them in a shop that already toasted sesame seeds. Toasted sesame seeds will speed up, and make the process of making tahini much easier.
Toasting sesame seeds starts with putting a frying pan on medium heat. Wait until the pan gets hot, and then pour sesame seeds. Saute them for a few moments. They need to have a pale golden color. Be careful not to over-toast them, because when sesame seeds are over-toasted, they become bitter. Also, over-toasted sesame seeds will spoil the taste.
After you toasted sesame seeds or bought already toasted sesame seeds, it is time to blend them into tahini paste.
Place toasted sesame seeds with oil, and salt into the blender. Blend it until you get a nice and smooth paste. If the paste has lumps, and it looks like it is very hard for your blender to blend it, add olive oil. Add more salt in the end if you are missing the salt.
