There is a common misconception that healthy meals are expensive, and not really delicious. This misconception becomes even more pronounced when you can’t eat alliums because onion and garlic are the most popular flavoring ingredients in the world. I decided to bust this misconception, and show you that you can enjoy appetizing meals while eating healthy, and staying on the budget.

I chose 5 of my family-favorite allium-free recipes on a budget that my husband and I are eating often. With these recipes, we spend less than 2 dollars per portion, and they are all healthy and follow a balanced diet. In addition, they are full of flavors, nutrients, fibers, proteins, and low fat recipes. Most important of all, they are completely made without alliums, and most of them are gallstone-friendly, GERD-friendly, or a low FODMAP recipe.

No matter which one you choose, I’m sure that you will enjoy an enchanting and healthy allium-free meal while staying on a budget.
