Start the no onion air fryer meatballs recipe by putting ground meat into the mixing bowl. Add dry basil, dry dill weed, parsley flakes, salt, pepper, Parmigiano Reggiano, plain breadcrumbs, and egg.
Mix it lightly until just combined. Be careful to not overmix it.
Shape it into golf ball-sized meatballs. While you are shaping the meatballs, start preheating the air fryer.
Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper, and carefully place the meatballs into the basket. Leave the space between the meatballs, so the air can circulate, and bake the meatballs evenly. I usually bake it in 3 or 4 batches.
Cook the meatballs until cooked completely, and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. Check out my serving suggestions and meal ideas below!
What to serve with air fryer meatballs?
I love making Parmesan Infused Air Fryer Meatballs as meal prep, and I find them extremely versatile. Here are the most common ways my family enjoys air fryer meatballs.
- Rice & lettuce is a very common option in my family. We would cook the rice, wash the lettuce, and quickly make a yogurt-based salad dressing. Quick, and healthy meal.
- Mashed potatoes – meatballs and mashed potatoes are amazing and classic combinations.
- Make a sauce and serve it with pasta – sometimes I would cut the meatballs into bite size cubes, and use them in my Tiny Meatballs & Mushroom Sauce. While the meatballs are baking, I can quickly cook the pasta, and make a sauce. Or if I make meatballs the day before, I will make a sauce, and then put the meatballs into the hot sauce, and simmer them for a few minutes to warm them up. P.S. It works well with frozen meatballs too, so it can be a quick comfort dinner during a chaotic day.
- Make it a wrap – take a tortilla, add veggies, and dressing, cut meatballs, and roll it up.
- Sandwich – take 2 slices of bread, smear the low fat yogurt, add grated cheese, and thin slices of meatballs. Bake it in a sandwich maker until crunchy. I love making this sandwich for dinner!

- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- Pepper to taste optional

- Preheat the air fryer. Set the temperature to 392°F/200°C and run it empty for 4 to 6 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature of the air fryer to 356°F/180°C.
- To prevent meatballs from sticking to the air fryer basket, line the bottom with the parchment paper. Then carefully place the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, so cook it in batches if necessary.
- Cook the meatballs for 10 to 12 minutes or until browned and the center of the meatball reaches 165°F.
