Healthy Ranch Dressing is a flavorful homemade salad dressing that fits perfectly into any salad. I love experimenting with DIY salad dressings because it is fun and I can elevate the flavor of the salad. Healthy Ranch Dressing is one of my experiments that sticks with my husband a lot, and it is one of his favorite salad dressing. It is a low fat salad dressing, and it fits perfectly to any salad (from main dish to side salad).
No Mayo Ranch Dressing has all the flavors that Ranch Dressing has, but it is made without mayo, and it is no onion no garlic recipe. Because of this, it is a perfect recipe if you follow a gallbladder diet, acid reflux diet, or low cholesterol diet. It is a delicious low FODMAP recipe, and perfect if you have an allium allergy or sensitive stomach.
Ingredients
- Plain yogurt – you can use low fat or Greek Yogurt. If you have problems with gallstones, I suggest using low fat yogurt. If you like thick salad dressings, then use Greek yogurt because it is thicker than low fat yogurt, and it will bring thickness and extra creaminess to the salad dressing. If you follow LOW FODMAP, use Greek yogurt.
- Dry dill weed – it provides a slightly herbaceous and grassy flavor to the no oil salad dressing.
- Parsley flakes – they bring a slight pepper taste to the Ranch dressing recipe homemade.
- Lemon juice – it provides a slight zesty flavor to the Yogurt Ranch Dressing, and helps with the digestion of the salad
- Salt – it will enhance the flavor and combine it all together
- Freshly cracked black pepper – if you can’t eat pepper you can easily skip it.

How to make Healthy Ranch Dressing?
It is very easy, and it takes less than 2 minutes to create this delicious dill salad dressing.
First, prepare all the ingredients, and then add them all to the bowl. First add plain yogurt, lemon juice and after add the rest.
Whisk them until fully combined. Taste the no onion no garlic ranch salad dressing, and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Optional, you can add everything to the mason jar, close it, and shake it until combined.
Drizzle the No Mayo Ranch salad dressing over the salad, and toss it to combine.
How to store Homemade Ranch Dressing Healthy recipe?
Refrigerator
Store the Healthy Ranch Dressing in a mason jar for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
Freezer
I do not recommend freezing the homemade salad dressing because it will lose its texture (it will become very grainy, and not smooth), and it will taste good.

- You can use low fat plain yogurt if you have problems with cholesterol.
- Instead of lemon juice, you can use a splash of vinegar. Be careful with vinegar because it is more intense than lemon juice, and just a few drops can be enough.
